The Okorie Family
Akuobioma Okorie's current substandard living conditions at her co-op apartment has water draining from an upstairs neighbour, odours, cigarette smoke, and infestations of cockroaches. "The first day I moved in, three people were shot and I've been told that one person was killed a year before." She was so impressed with the cooperation among volunteers and felt encouraged to apply. The new space" will allow us to have a house we call our own," says Akuobioma.
