Mary Heinmaa, Vice President Development

Mary Heinmaa has spent over 20 years in the non-profit sector. For the past 3.5 years, Mary has been the Vice President of Philanthropy with Habitat for Humanity Toronto overseeing the fundraising initiatives for the department with an annual goal to raise $5.4M. Previous to Habitat Toronto, Mary held a number of positions in the Development department of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

Mary has served for 5 years on the Association for Bright & Gifted Children Board of Directors, spent numerous years on the fundraising events committee of Integra Foundation, and held numerous board positions including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra during her tenure as President of the Toronto Symphony Volunteer Committee. She also has also spent 6 years as an investment analyst at Dean Witter Reynolds Canada.

Currently, Mary sits on the Education Committee of the Association for Fundraising Professionals, is a member of the Mentoring Committee for the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, and is a board member of the Scarborough Women's Centre.
