Volunteers are the heart and soul of Habitat for Humanity Toronto. By contributing your time and talent, your volunteer support helps us build safe, decent and affordable homes for Toronto families living in need.
Join the 10,000 volunteers who contribute over 100,000 hours each year to supporting Habitat for Humanity! Office Volunteer & Internships
Habitat for Humanity Toronto has several construction sites across the City of Toronto - all with public transit access. Equipment is provided and no previous experience is necessary. Orientations take place at the start of each shift. Sign up online today.
If you have a combination of construction experience, team leadership skills and regular availability, you may be interested in becoming a Crew Leader or Crew Member. Habitat for Humanity Toronto holds and participates in many events throughout the year. The time commitment, location, and type of volunteer opportunity varies from one event to another. Volunteers lend a hand in many ways such as set up, registration, and representing Habitat to the public. Orientation material is provided prior to the event at our head office or over the phone. Our office has exciting opportunities for recent graduates, students, retirees, and working professionals in our Marketing, Construction, ReStore, Development, Family Services, and Volunteer Services departments. Check out our current positions online.
Our committee members contribute invaluable ideas, industry experience, and support to HFHT. Global Village trips take place around the world and can be a life changing experience. It’s an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of development issues, to learn more about another culture and about yourself. You will be more than a tourist as you are welcomed into the community by your hosts and introduced to the local culture as a guest. You will work together, share stories, and make friends.
